This Tour includes a visit to the city of Taormina and its "hinterland"; we will start from the small village of Castelmola, located about 500 m above sea level, part of the circuit of the "most beautiful villages in Italy", and then go down to Tarmina centre, Mazzarò and finally to Giardini Naxos.
Upon arrival in Castelmola, no one can miss the stupendous landscape that opens up from the viewpoint of Piazza Sant'Antonio and from where, taking a short walk through the picturesque streets of the centre, it will be possible to visit the Cathedral, dedicated to San Nicola di Bari , which stands in the heart of the village, on the square of the same name, and whose façade overlooks another extraordinary viewpoint from which you can admire the gulf of Naxos, dominated by the imposing presence of Etna; worth seeing are the church of San Giorgio, the church of San Biagio, the church of the Annunziata and finally, for the more tenacious, it is possible to visit the remains of the Mola castle located at an altitude of 530 m above sea level, reachable via an impervious staircase.
Continuing our itinerary we could visit the Arab-Norman Castle of Monte Tauro which can be reached via a stairway carved into the rock, which starting from the charming little church of the Madonna della Rocca climbs up to reach the door of the Castle.
Along our descent towards the sea we will reach the center of Taormina where we will spend most of our time to be able to admire the beauties of this historic Sicilian tourist city; the Theater with its breathtaking panorama, the Villa Comunale with its great variety of flowers and plants from all over the world but also of singular buildings with an exotic taste, Palazzo Corvaja a splendid noble villa, the city Cathedral dedicated to San Nicola with the its austere stone façade, as well as the inevitable walk along Corso Umberto I with a stop in Piazza IX Aprile to admire the fantastic panorama...
In the afternoon we will move (also by cable car) to reach Mazzarò and Isola Bella where it will also be possible to swim in the splendid sea of Taormina.
The last stop of our excursion will be the city of Giardini Naxos where we will stop for about an hour to take a quiet walk along the picturesque seafront and relax in one of the many bars sitting at a table to enjoy a beautiful and refreshing Sicilian granita .

This tour can be associated with other routes of the "Nature and Sea Tours" such as: the visit of Etna with the possibility of excursions to the craters or the visit of the Alcantara Gorges where it will be possible to go up the river.
